C9 - MOZAMBIQUE DXpedition
16 JULY- 31 JULY 2008

We will be operating from the Blue Anchor Inn (www.blueanchorinn.com)

which is about 70Km north of Maputo.  Grid Square : KG64ie

Longitude 32.39.26 E,  Latitude 25.35.09 S

We plan on arriving in Mozambique on July 16th, after spending 6 days in

Kruger National Park, RSA and checking out the animals.

We will have 2 stations set-up using two 60 ft trailer mounted towers,

with Tennedyne T8 log periodic beams, 40 meter 4-square, and 80 meter 4-square,

plus our 70 foot vertical for 160/80 and 30 meters.

We plan to be active on all the bands from 160- 6 Meters on CW, SSB, PSK and RTTY.

It looks like Hal ZS6WB will be able to stay the whole time to do the EME.

We will be doing both CW and digi on EME.  I also hope we can get 6 meter

EME on the air this trip.  I am hoping that we will be able to get some new

rigs to use on this trip.  I am also looking at the SPE Expert 1K-FA amplifier

to give one a real shakedown.  If we can get the OK will also see about 60 meters.

We gratefully acknowledge Tennadyne for donating the T8 beams used in our past C9 DXpeditions.

This is the 72 foot vertical that we use for 160-80 and it also works on 30 meters.
